At OHSS Safety Consultants Ireland, we are accredited to ISO17020, which relates to the surveying and risk assessments for asbestos in commercial premises. This certification positions us perfectly to offer the very highest standards in surveying, analysis, quality management and reporting of potential asbestos hazards.

So what is involved in what we do?

Our extensive services include, but are not limited to the following:

Leak Testing - An essential service that monitors levels of dangerous airborne particles outside an area where asbestos removal is taking place.

Background Sampling - This involves the sampling of ambient indoor air quality (IAQ) before asbestos removal works to determine base levels of any pre-existing asbestos air contamination.

Reassurance Sampling - After completion of asbestos removal work, reassurance sampling may be needed to ensure that any residual airborne particles that still exist have fallen below the safe level of 0.010 fibres per cubic centimetre.

Reoccupation Site Clearance Certification - Once the asbestos present has been removed or encapsulated, there are several levels of site clearance that include:

• Visual inspection of the area

• Checking of job completion and site condition

• Work area or enclosure dismantling

• Final assessment

• Clearance air monitoring

All of our sampling and testing work is carried out by highly trained technicians who have the skills and expertise to meet the very highest standards of accreditation. Also, we provide appropriate laboratory conditions to ensure that consistently high levels of quality are maintained.
