Tegral Building Products – Industrial hygiene programme
TBP had previously manufactured asbestos-containing cement products at their factory in Athy, Co Kildare. The process involved the use of cement, fibres and other additives. Noise and vibration were also potential hazards in this environment. We were asked to assess the risks and implement a protective programme.

Solution:
OHSS undertook industrial hygiene monitoring of the slate manufacturing process and the paint lines at the plant. Risk assessment was continuously carried out.

As a result of our work, TBI now has monitoring data to support its risk assessment process.
